From 2013/14 CUVZS will no longer hold an exotics symposium every year.  Instead, all the UK vet schools will work together to host two joint symposia per year, rotating round the different schools. This is so that speakers and industry sponsorship are not spread too thinly across multiple symposia.  It should mean that the symposia are bigger and better than ever before!  Each year one symposium will be in the north and one will be in the south, so that all vet schools will have a symposium near(ish!) to them.

In 2013/14, the symposia were held at the Royal Veterinary College and Liverpool Vet School.

Information regards upcoming symposia, for 2016/17 will be updated on this page, including information on how to purchase tickets.

This year (2016/17) the Southern Veterinary Student Zoological Symposium will be held at Bristol Vet School  on the weekend of 25-26th February 2017

They’ve announced they have a great lineup of speakers including vets and conservation researchers from Bristol Zoo, the Jane Goodall Institute, ZSL and the BBC. And that there will be practicals on wildlife pathology, aquatic medicine, exotics diagnostics, bone anatomy and more!

Look out for information regarding ticket sales soon!
