The talk this week will be given by Natasha Ennew and will be on the topic of hedgehog rehabilitation.

Natasha Ennew is the manager of the Shepreth Hedgehog Hospital (about 100 hedgehogs) and will be talking about her work in hedgehog rehabilitation. This will be useful for anyone interested in wildlife medicine or going into small animal practice (lots of hedgehogs get brought in by members of the public to general practices). She will also be bringing along her own African pygmy hedgehog!

Come at 6:15 for Cake and Drinks

Talks are free for members and £1 for non-members.

This week’s talk will be given by Martyn Edelsten. Martyn has spent a lot of his life working in Africa with exotic and farm animals. He will be specifically talking about: Animal health problems in the tropics. How veterinary services are delivered. Who else is involved in animal health and husbandry (aid, developments projects etc)? How can a UK graduate contribute/work in this field? The focus will be on Livestock in Africa, but there will be some reference to wildlife. He has also worked in S America and the far east too, if anyone has any questions about this.

The talk will be given at 6:30. Arrive at 6:15 for PIZZA.
